Alkemic #3 will attempt to weave the amazing talents of 5 musicians in a somewhat organic, somewhat intended manner to catalyse an evening of jazz with a desi twist. Curated with a maverick spirit by @madameQrie, the evening will give props to the soul of jazz and hold space for new music to alchemize in the there & then, with you as witness!

AHMAD is a singer-songwriter-storyteller from Kashmir who infuses his works with melodies rooted in his homeland. Drawing from Urdu & Kashmiri poetry, his music spans genres, from folk & blues to jazz & rock. He creates music to preserve memories and believes that the personal is inherently political.

AYANA & SHINU are childhood friends, genre-bending musicians & sonic storytellers. Rooted in both Kerala's hills & Delhi's chaos, their sound blends Carnatic soul, progressive jazz textures & cinematic emotion. Ayana’s haunting vocals & fingerstyle guitar meet Shinu’s rhythmic heartbeat on drums & percussion, weaving memory, myth, movement into a deeply personal musical experience. Together, their act spans the personal & the political, the gentle & the wild.

PAKHI is a singer-songwriter with a magnetic stage persona. She has performed at the Vatican Embassy & opened for India Art Fair 2024. Inspired by soul, jazz, blues, rock & musical theatre, she is slowly bringing her originals to live audiences.

PURU is a lead guitarist with a passion for psych rock, blues, jazz & metal. Inspired by artists like J.J. Cale, David Gilmore, Stanley Clarke & Stevie Ray Vaughan, he regularly performs live. He has also given music to documentary films, podcasts & originals by indie artists.
